True Piece is a free adventure experience for Roblox created by Divine Tempest. This game is very overtly based on the hit Anime One Piece. As such, you can play as either a marine or a pirate, battling against the other faction and completing quests along the way. True Piece was launched in 2021 and hasn’t really seen the massive popularity that other games have. In total, the game has been played over 13.6 million times.
If you enjoy this type of adventure gameplay, Roblox has countless alternatives for you to try. If you’re looking for something that is particularly also based on One Piece, Pirates Dream is going to be your best bet. If you’d prefer a game with a heavier focus on magic and fantasy, give Black Grimoire a go.
Expansive world
True Piece will spawn you in a 17th Century-looking town. A short walk from where you spawn, you’ll find the docks. Upon looking at the map at the docks, you’ll realize that you’re on one island of many. You’ll have to get to level 50 before you travel to any of the other islands, though. However, the island you spawn on is rather extensive.
There are many quests, a great number of things to see, and numerous places to explore. Once you have enough bounty or reputation behind your name, you can even explore the caves and face the skeleton boss.
Quests
Your first quest is benign and rather lackluster. All you have to do is deliver a package a few feet away from where you spawned. There, you’ll find another NPC with a quest that will see you testing out your combat skills against numerous bandits. If you’re thinking this will be easy because you have a weapon, it’s not, and you don’t.
This game throws even the most junior players into the deep end with no explanations or tutorials concerning the game’s combat system. You’ll have to fumble your way through until you have enough levels to prove that you’ve actually learned something.
One Piece adjacent
True Piece is as similar to One Piece as is legally possible without being called illegal usage of a licensed product. However, if you’re just playing the game for the One Piece immersion, there are far more realistic and compelling games, particularly the alternative mentioned earlier.
In fact, there are more compelling alternative all around if you are looking for a PvP combat game, adventure game, or anything else that True Piece claims to be.
